Digital Transformation Project Manager - Nuclear
Addressing climate change is one of the defining challenges of our time, and the transition to low-carbon energy is at the heart of building a sustainable future. At Assystem, our mission is to accelerate the global energy transition by combining engineering expertise, project management excellence, and digital innovation.
With more than 8,000 employees across 13 countries in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, Assystem works on and delivers major programs in nuclear and renewable energy, grid modernization, and hydrogen solutions that support the decarbonization of transport and industry.
Assystem is expanding into Canada at an exciting moment in the global energy transition. As a new and growing presence in the Canadian nuclear and infrastructure landscape, we are building a high-impact team to drive innovation, embed world-class digital capability, and help accelerate major low-carbon projects. Digital technology is central to Assystem’s mission, enabling the energy transition, enhancing project delivery performance, and taking our clients to the next level of operational excellence.
In Canada, you will join a pioneering team playing a key role in establishing Assystem’s digital and engineering footprint, working closely with nuclear operators, utilities, and infrastructure organizations across Ontario.
We are seeking a Digital Transformation Project Manager with strong consulting capability and solid understanding of digital project delivery in heavily regulated environments.
You will lead and deliver digital transformation initiatives across engineering, construction, and operations, with a specific focus on large nuclear capital projects.
You will work closely with clients—often on site—to understand their challenges, and design and implement solutions involving digital twins, BIM, structured data management, Common Data Environments (CDE), enterprise systems, IMS, and advanced analytics.
This is a hybrid role combining:
- Digital Transformation Consulting
- Project and Program Management
- Technical leadership in digital engineering and information management
You will bridge technical, operational, and organisational domains, ensuring digital transformation programmes are delivered with rigour, structure, and transparency, aligned to industry best practice and regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities

- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and assessments across engineering, construction, operations, asset management, and IT.
- Translate complex business or operational issues into practical, value-driven digital solutions.
Digital Project Delivery Model
- Define digital delivery models aligned with international standards (ISO 19650, ISO 55000, openBIM, TOGAF, INCOSE, CIPHOS) and industry frameworks.
- Support the development and implementation of:
- Information Requirements (OIR, PIR, AIR, EIR)
- BIM Execution Plan (BEP) frameworks
- Information validation and handover processes
- Digital twins and model-based information flows
CDE & Data Integration
- Lead the definition and deployment of Common Data Environment (CDE) architectures, including governance, access management, workflows, and integration with enterprise systems (EAM, ERP, PPM, BIM/DE tools).
- Evaluate interoperability and data exchange requirements (IFC, COBie, bsDD, APIs).
Reference Data Library (RDL) & Structured Information
- Support design, maintenance, and governance of Reference Data Libraries / Enterprise Class Libraries, leveraging CFIHOS or equivalent standards.
- Ensure consistency, version control, and structured information management across the asset lifecycle.
Project & Program Management
- Build and manage multidisciplinary teams, including Assystem experts and client personnel.
- Provide project plans, risk logs, reporting dashboards, and schedule/financial oversight.
- Ensure delivery in accordance with ISO 9001 and nuclear QA requirements.
- Mastering the main PPM and PMIS environment
Business Development & Strategic Growth
- Contribute to proposals, client presentations, and solution architecture for new opportunities.
- Act as an ambassador for Assystem’s digital capabilities in the Canadian market.
