P6 Project Planner

To achieve this, our 7,500 Switchers combine their historical engineering expertise and project management with digital technologies.
In our 12 countries (Europe, Middle East, Asia) of operation, we are working on the production and distribution of low-carbon electricity, through the development of nuclear and renewable energies. We are also supporting the modernisation and development of energy grids, managing the setup and siting for new transmission and distribution networks, and using hydrogen to decarbonise the transport and industry sectors.
To develop, manage and maintain project or integration programme plans and schedules on behalf of Programme and Project Managers, ensuring they meet client and business requirements in the most cost-effective, reliable and controlled manner. This includes proficient use of Primavera P6 to produce high-quality, fully logic-linked schedules that support successful project delivery.
1. Integrate and become a key member of the project delivery team, providing high-quality planning support to enable effective project delivery.
2. Facilitate effective communication, information sharing and coordination with all project stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
3. Prepare detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and develop project plans and schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring they meet project objectives and provide an accurate basis for project performance measurement.
4. Develop, maintain and update P6 schedules in line with project scheduling principles, ensuring compliance with internal processes, quality standards and governance frameworks.
5. Monitor progress and performance against the approved schedule; update P6 schedules accordingly and communicate impacts.
6. Develop mitigation, recovery and contingency schedules within P6 to address delays or changes to project scope or objectives.
7. Identify, log and escalate planning-related risks; ensure alignment between the schedule, risk register and critical issues log.
8. Produce schedule reports, dashboards and variance analyses from P6, highlighting key milestones, critical path impacts and recommending corrective actions.
9. Monitor, audit and assure contractor schedules, ensuring compliance with Network Rail procedures and the proper use of Primavera P6 where applicable.
10. Review contractor progress submissions for schedule adherence and payment purposes, challenging inconsistencies where required.
11. Identify resource requirements within P6 and monitor planned vs. actual resource usage, ensuring availability is maintained.
