Annualized Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000

Position Summary: AEA is seeking a Community Outreach Manager to coordinate the Bronx and Brooklyn Energy Hub's (BBEH) outreach and community engagement efforts to advance energy justice, decarbonization, and building weatherization for low- to moderate-income households, small businesses, and workforce segments.
Grounded in a commitment to equitable engagement, this role builds and sustains trust with community members, clients, and partner organizations, translating outreach into meaningful, accessible support for those whom the BBEH serves.
Responsibilities include planning and executing community events and workshops, managing outreach calendars and administrative operations, and tracking outreach performance.
The role requires close coordination with BBEH leadership, internal teams, and subcontracted organizations to ensure outreach activities are well-resourced, efficiently executed, and aligned with BBEH's strategic goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Administrative Support and Management
Manage and maintain the outreach calendar, ensuring accurate and timely scheduling, preparation, promotion, and execution of planned activities.
Oversee outreach-related administrative functions, including maintaining BBEH team email listservs and updating outreach contact and client databases with new information.
Manage inventory of outreach materials, including flyers, promotional items, and giveaways, ensuring adequate stock and timely reordering.
2. Community Events & Engagement
Plan, organize, and oversee community events, workshops, and presentations that promote BBEH's services and programs, including delivering presentations on clean energy and healthy homes practices.
Collaborate with internal teams and strategic partners to secure resources, coordinate logistics, and ensure the successful execution of outreach events.
3. Strategic Outreach & Partnership Management
Lead and facilitate weekly BBEH Outreach meetings for HUB Outreach staff and related team members.
Partner with HUB leadership to guide and support implementation of short- and medium-term outreach goals.
Track and report on the performance of outreach initiatives, using data and analytics to measure effectiveness and inform strategy.
Serve as the primary liaison to BBEH subcontracted organizations for matters regarding outreach and community engagement, ensuring timely support and coordination for their Outreach staff.
Cultivate new relationships and strengthen existing partnerships with community members, clients, stakeholders, and partner organizations.
Review and maintain internal outreach goals and those stated in the Outreach and Equitable Engagement Plan, tracking progress and adjusting strategies as needed to meet — and where possible, exceed — short- and medium-term targets, in coordination with key stakeholders.
Continuously evaluate and refine outreach strategies to meet quarterly, semi-annual, and annual targets
Provide support toward broader campaign goals, as needed.
Collaborate with our team of Energy Advisors to ensure that outreach and engagement work leads to an impactful process for clients that is effective and efficacious.
Design and lead triannual, day-long in-person convenings for the coalition, managing programming and facilitation
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in community outreach, coalition management, or nonprofit program leadership
Strong facilitation and relationship-building skills across multi-organization partnerships
Experience with strategic planning and grant-funded deliverables
Excellent written communication skills; experience contributing to reports, plans, or published work is a plus
Bilingual, with fluency in Spanish
Must be able to legally work in the country where this position is located without visa sponsorship.
