Job Summary

Through our paid internship program, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting application engineers in the design of single-axis trackers for utility-scale solar farms. This role works closely with engineering and sales teams to gather customer inputs, support preliminary engineering design incorporating structural and geotechnical elements, and assist with quote development for Array’s tracker technology. The internship provides exposure to real-world solar infrastructure projects in a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment.

Duration of Internship: May 18th, 2026, to August 7th, 2026

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Support preliminary civil, geotechnical, and structural engineering design activities for solar tracker projects using established tools and processes
  • Assist with early-stage project layouts, drafting, and technical documentation
  • Help review geotechnical information and support foundation-related design efforts
  • Participate in gathering and organizing project information needed for tracker quotes
  • Work with customers and internal teams to clarify project requirements and assumptions
  • Collaborate with engineering, sales, and project teams to support proposal and quote development
  • Maintain organized project records and contribute to continuous improvement of internal workflows

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a preferred emphasis in Structural or Geotechnical engineering (or closely related discipline).
  • Completion of at least junior-level coursework in structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, and/or civil engineering design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Preference for those with AutoCAD or Civil 3D experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • This position is located onsite in our Chandler, AZ office.
  • Relocation is not available for this role.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
