Overview The Energy Systems Analyst is responsible for assessing building mechanical and electrical systems while performing technical on-site surveys and in-office analysis on assigned projects. Analysis will include participation in technical studies, investigations, and development of energy-efficient and deferred maintenance scope on assigned projects. Responsibilities Specific responsibilities include:

  • Assists in the production of projects that are on-time, within-budget, and meet the requirements of industry standards & codes and client specifications.
  • Conducts site surveys to determine existing facility conditions either independently or with senior level staff/project manager. Assists in identifying and preparing energy efficient and deferred maintenance scope.
  • Performs mechanical system calculations including load calculations, ventilation schedules, etc.
  • Interacts in meetings with owners, clients, and/or architects as needed either independently or with senior level staff/project manager; prepares meeting notes.
  • Designs and prepares drawings for mechanical systems for projects including duct and pipe sizing.
  • Assists the development team in the coordination with other disciplines including energy modeling, financial modeling, lighting, design, etc.
  • Attends in-house and external training sessions to obtain knowledge in necessary technical areas related to building systems.
  • Participates in industry organizations and attends events, meetings, and activities.

This position is Full-Time, Exempt, and reports to the Senior Energy Systems Analyst. Qualifications Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from a four-year ABET accredited university.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills and aptitude.
  • Required experience in Excel and Word.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with facility managers and engineers.
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines while on survey.
  • Ability to manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to use technology and apps for collecting data while on survey.
  • Passion for quality and client satisfaction.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications
  • Prefer 1-3 years of energy-related client interface for an engineering design firm.
  • Preferred experience with building energy services in the health and higher-education field.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical design drawings.
  • Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE).
  • Participation in industry organizations and attends events, meetings, and activities.
Travel Requirements 25-50% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
