Sr Test Engineer, Flight Controls System

Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for an experienced verification engineer to join the Flight Controls System Team at Archer. This role has a strong focus on the verification and testing of the Archer's fly-by-wire flight control system, including its subsystems and items, and its integration with other aircraft systems, such as avionics, high and low voltage power distribution, and engines. Having prior testing experience and capability of executing in complex test campaigns is a must.
What You'll Do:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the flight control system, including its architecture and the detailed design of all subsystems and components.
- Design and execute requirements-based tests for the eVTOL Flight Control System.
- Work collaboratively with team members to correlate test results with analyses and predictions.
- Evaluate test data to confirm the performance of the tested components.
- Ensure testing is compliant with FAA, DoD, or other aircraft standards
- Ensure scope of tests meets requirements for aircraft certification
- Prepare technical reports detailing test results.
What you need:
- 5+ years of experience in a related field.
- Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
- Experience with requirements based testing, preferably applying ARP4754A, DO-178C, or similar guidelines.
- Background using Polarion, DOORS or similar requirements management tools.
- Excellent technical writing, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
Bonus qualifications
- Experience with continuous integration & test tools like TeamCity or Jenkins, and test automation frameworks.
- Experience with Python, MATLAB, NI, or other data acquisition and analysis software.
- Experience with integrated system communication protocols (ARINC429, CAN, Ethernet, RS485 etc.)

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company's business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $151,680 - $189,600. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
