Product Engineer, Airframe
Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

What you'll do (Basic Duties):
- Work closely with design teams (Archer & supplier) to provide manufacturing input during initial design stages
- Drive DFM and DFA assessments
- Interface with supplier base, driving tooling design and manufacturing readiness reviews
- Support supplier process development, travel to supplier(s)
- Encourage collaboration and incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders, bridging gap between manufacturing, quality, and design
What you need:
- 6+ years of experience in aerospace engineering (design, mfg eng. tooling design, etc), composite and metallic experience preferred
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Proven track record of driving DFX principles for complex composite part and assembly development
- Proficiency in 3D CAD Software (NX preferred)
- Experience using Fibersim or Composite Workbench
- Practical application of GD&T and real life execution of inspection processes
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with various composite inspection techniques, M&P standards and test equipment
- Driven to solve complex problems and implement simple solutions
- Passion for aviation and eVTOLs

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company's business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $151,680 - $189,600. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
