Palantir Foundry Engineer
Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are looking for a talented Palantir Foundry Developer to become a part of our Corporate Technology group. We are looking for someone with practical experience in developing data pipelines, applications, and analytical tools utilizing the Palantir Foundry platform. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams to convert intricate data sets into practical insights and robust solutions.
What you'll do:
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines leveraging Palantir Foundry's Code Repositories and Pipeline Builder.
- Construct and optimize data transformations utilizing PySpark, SQL, and Python within the Foundry platform.
- Create interactive applications and dashboards using Foundry's Workshop and other tools.
- Collaborate with analysts, and business teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Design and implement semantic data models utilizing Palantir Ontology.
- Architect scalable ontology frameworks capable of supporting complex data ecosystems.
- Administer the Palantir Foundry platform and manage user access and authorizations.
- Implement and manage data quality controls, monitoring systems, and governance procedures.
- Identify and resolve issues within existing pipelines, optimizing them for enhanced performance and reliability.
- Engage in code reviews and maintain comprehensive documentation for developed solutions.
- Provide support in training and mentoring other team members.
What you need:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering or a related area.
- 2+ years of practical experience with the Palantir Foundry platform.
- Proficient in Python and PySpark for data manipulation tasks.
- Solid SQL skills and proven ability to handle large datasets.
- Hands-on experience with Foundry's key applications, including Code Repositories, Pipeline Builder, Ontology, and Workshop.
- A strong grasp of data engineering best practices, such as data quality assurance, testing methodologies, and monitoring systems.
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT workflows and data warehousing principles.
- Experience using version control systems (Git).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Exceptional communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
