Operations Finance Manager
Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. What You'll Do:
We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our growing Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's total aircraft product costing efforts as we scale and optimize our manufacturing capabilities. This role will partner closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Cost Accounting, and Procurement to drive cost efficiencies, improve operational performance, and support business growth.

Core Responsibilities Include:
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for operations-related expenses, including COGS, Manufacturing costs, supply chain expenses, and capital expenditures
- Support month-end and quarter-end financial close processes related to COGS, inventory, and Manufacturing variances
- Analyze product costing, overhead absorption, and cost variances trends to drive operational efficiencies
- Work closely with Accounting teams to ensure accurate cost allocations, standard costing, and inventory valuations are performed
- Develop robust and dynamic financial models to analyze production efficiency, cost trends, and operational performance within a manufacturing plant
- Track KPIs related to production costs, labor efficiencies, inventory management, and logistics
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support make vs buy analyses, inventory optimization, and cost-reduction projects
- Partner with business leaders to track departmental budgets and drive accountability
- Build effective data visualization dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Sigma, Google Data Studio, etc
- Contribute to ad hoc projects as the company scales and finance needs evolve
What You Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Masters/MBA/CPA/CMA is a strong plus
- 5+years of experience in an Operations/Manufacturing Finance function is highly preferred
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, cost analysis, and cost accounting principles
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP S4 Hana preferred)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of Finance and accounting processes, especially product costing, data structures and systems in a public company environment
- Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Strong excel modeling skills to influence data based decisions
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
