Flight Test, Data Operations
Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. What You'll Do:
You will be responsible for operating the telemetry room during flight test and and ensuring proper management of the data collected during flight test.
- Install, configure, test, and calibrate telemetry hardware such as transmitters, receivers, and antennas
- Maintain and troubleshoot telemetry room hardware and software
- Monitor telemetry streams, perform quality control on data, and identify and resolve issues during flight test operations
- Ensure proper migration of flight test data
- Import data sets for telemetry room playback
- Maintain configuration of IADS analysis windows for testing
- Assist in monitoring for parameter exceedances during flight
What You Need:
- 3+ years of experience with System and Network administration
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, RF Engineering, or equivalent
- Knowledge of the relevant telemetry data source (i.e. IRIG CH10) and troubleshooting multicast and broadcast data
- Can be a dynamic problem solver
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative attitude and a meticulous attention to detail
- Familiarity with Curtiss Wright IADS
Bonus Qualifications:
- Understanding of aircraft instrumentation
