Role description:

We are seeking an Interface Manager to lead the identification, documentation, and resolution of project interfaces across various packages in rail and transit infrastructure projects. This role involves maintaining interface control documents and schedules, coordinating with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders, facilitating workshops and meetings, monitoring and mitigating interface risks, supporting change management, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and providing regular status reporting to project leadership.

This role sits in our Mobility Global Business Area (GBA). We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today’s mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world’s growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.

Role accountabilities:

The successful candidate will lead the identification, documentation, and resolution of interfaces between various project packages, including civil works, systems, stations, track, and signaling. This role requires a proactive approach to managing complex technical interactions to ensure smooth project execution.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining interface control documents, matrices, and schedules. These tools are essential for ensuring alignment across all disciplines and stakeholders involved in the project, supporting effective communication and coordinated delivery.

A key aspect of the role involves coordinating with internal design teams, contractors, client representatives, and third parties. You will manage technical and delivery interfaces, facilitating collaboration and addressing challenges that arise during project execution.

The candidate will facilitate interface workshops, design coordination meetings, and issue resolution sessions. These activities are crucial for promoting teamwork, resolving conflicts, and advancing project progress.

Monitoring interface risks and implementing mitigation strategies will be central to your responsibilities. By proactively addressing potential delays or scope conflicts, you will help maintain project timelines and deliverables.

You will support change management processes related to interface impacts, ensuring that all changes are appropriately documented, evaluated, and communicated to relevant stakeholders.

Ensuring compliance with project requirements, standards, and regulatory frameworks will be a key responsibility. You will play a vital role in upholding the integrity and quality of project outputs.

Finally, you will provide regular reporting on interface status, risks, and actions to project leadership. Clear and timely communication will support informed decision-making and maintain stakeholder confidence throughout the project lifecycle.
