We are seeking a Project Manager to support a large-scale pharmaceutical facility project currently in the design phase. This individual will be responsible for managing an owner-side engineering design team and ensuring project deliverables remain on schedule throughout the design and execution phases. The successful candidate will work closely with highly technical engineering professionals, driving accountability, coordination, and project execution while maintaining alignment with overall project timelines.

This is a hands-on project leadership role requiring strong communication, organization, and schedule management skills. The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of coordination for engineering activities and will help ensure critical project milestones are achieved.

Role description:

The Project Manager will support the owner's engineering organization on a major pharmaceutical capital project currently in the design phase. The role will focus on coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities, monitoring deliverables, managing schedules, and facilitating communication across project stakeholders.

The successful candidate will not be responsible for performing engineering design work but must possess enough technical understanding to effectively communicate with engineering teams and maintain project progress. This individual will work closely with owner representatives and engineering personnel to ensure project objectives are met and deliverables are completed according to schedule.

This position is fully onsite and requires strong leadership, organizational, and project management capabilities in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Role accountabilities:

  • Manage and coordinate owner-side engineering teams to ensure design deliverables are completed on schedule.
  • Drive project schedules and ensure engineering deliverables are completed on time.Monitor project progress and identify potential schedule risks or delays.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.
  • Support planning and execution efforts through Sequence of Operations development and project implementation activities.
  • Maintain accountability across engineering teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Lead project meetings, status updates, and action item tracking.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve project challenges and maintain schedule commitments.
  • Provide regular reporting on project performance, deliverables, and schedule status.
  • Promote a collaborative and results-driven project environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • 5–10 years of project management experience supporting engineering, design, manufacturing, or capital projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary technical teams and project schedules.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience tracking project deliverables, milestones, and execution schedules.
  • Ability to work effectively with highly technical engineering professionals and cross-functional project teams.
  • Proficiency with project scheduling and project management tools.
  • Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or industrial manufacturing projects.
  • Understanding of plant, process, and equipment design principles.
  • Familiarity with engineering design lifecycle and capital project delivery.
  • Experience working in owner-side project management environments.
  • Knowledge of GMP-regulated facilities and pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
