As one of the world's largest operating conservation foundations, the Arbor Day Foundation educates and engages stakeholders and communities across the globe to involve themselves in its mission of planting, nurturing, and celebrating trees. Our vision is to help others understand and use trees as a solution to many of the global issues we face today, including air quality, water quality, climate change, deforestation, poverty, and hunger.

We are looking for a Tour Coordinator to create curriculum and craft an ideal guest experience!

You Have:

  • Leadership skills. A proven ability to lead, support, train, and develop others

  • Positive energy a hands-on team player with a proven track record of translating ideas into effective action

  • Experience and passion. 1+ years of experience in a role related to tours, teaching, children, animal conservation, natural materials, or creating curriculum. You have integrity and a passion for people!

  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills. Whether it be written or verbal, this comes naturally to you.

  • Technology aptitude. You are proficient in Microsoft Office products and quick to learn when it comes to new software and problem solving within these platforms

You Will:

  • Develop and cultivate. New tour experiences for every season, inventing winter tours to bring more guests to the property during colder months.

  • Supervise. Your team of tour guides, in addition to wildlife interactions, ensuring the safety of animals and guests

  • Manage Bookings. Across multiple platforms including phone calls, emails, and booking sites

  • Implement. Put your ideas into action and execute new tours and design conservation education materials

  • Collaborate. Whether it be with managers across the property, sales agents, teachers, or corporate groups, you love the idea of working with others to craft their optimal experience

  • Identify. Potential funding sources and apply for them, in addition to participating in funding events and campaigns
