Are you a force for good? Does the opportunity to devote your talents to a cause much greater than yourself excite you? The Arbor Day Foundation is a place you can do work that matters, with people who care. As we say at the Foundation: life is short, love where you work.

As one of the world's largest conservation organizations, the Arbor Day Foundation inspires people to plant, nurture, and celebrate trees. We help others understand and use trees as a solution to global issues (like air quality, water quality, climate change, deforestation, poverty, and hunger) that are critical to survival.

Arbor Day Foundation is looking for a People Team Coordinator. The ideal candidate is highly organized, effective at managing multiple projects concurrently, detail-oriented, a clear communicator, loves serving others.

You Have:

  • Passion. For the Foundation’s mission, nature, environmental stewardship, and people.
  • A brain for process improvement. You love creating and improving systems that lead to efficient and great experiences for those you serve.
  • A high-level of care. Your interpersonal communication skills allow you to relate to individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • The right attitude. You have a positive disposition with strong initiative and incredible work ethic. You are a self-starter with a drive to achieve goals and engage others to act whether you are working independently or with a team.
  • The lens of the customer. You are highly focused on creating great experiences for those you serve and have a continuous improvement mindset.
  • The skills. You are well organized and detail oriented. Your ability to manage your time and problem solve allows you to thrive, owning multiple projects at a time.

You Will:

  • Be a part of a high impact team. The work our People Team does touches every team within ADF.
  • Manage critical programs and systems. This position plays an important role in managing many of the programs and systems that help us deliver great experiences. You’ll support logistics in the final stages of interviews, help onboard new team members, serve as the lead in using our Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and our intranet, and own our service anniversary recognition program.
  • Create engaging moments. We love engaging our teams through culture-enhancing events. You’ll have the opportunity to plan, promote, and help host events that make an impact for our people.
  • Put your skills to work. Each day will be different and full of many tasks and details that help support the People Team and organization at large.
  • Model our Core Values. You know that you’re a constant reflection of not only the People Team, but the Arbor Day Foundation.

Love Where You Work:

  • We’re in this together. A culture focused on kindness, collaboration and the intrinsic shared purpose to do what’s right. We do work that matters, with people who care, in an inspiring environment. We’re proud of the culture we’ve built. We love it, and we know you will too.
  • We care about your health. We offer competitive healthcare (health, dental, vision) coverage for you and your loved ones matched with a wellness incentives program.
  • We invest in your future. Company paid short-term and long-term disability, life insurance and 401k with company match.
  • We want to stay connected. We’ll hook you up with a company laptop.
  • We’ll round out the experience. We put our culture first, and we host events and experiences throughout the year to show that we care about you (and your family).
