We help others understand and use trees as a solution to global issues (like air quality, water quality, climate change, deforestation, poverty, and hunger) that are critical to survival.

The Arbor Day Foundation is seeking a Digital Marketing Director to sit on our Marketing and Communications team and drive our digital strategy forward.

You Have:

  • Passion. For the Foundation’s mission, nature, environmental stewardship, and people.
  • Experience. The ideal candidate has spent 5+ years in digital marketing and revenue generation and has experience building teams and leading others.
  • A Proven Track Record. You’ve built digital programs and generated revenue through effective journeys, analytics, budgeting, media planning and campaign optimization.
  • The Skills. You know how to assess current state, identify gaps, build out a plan after identifying solutions, and rallying others around it.
  • Strong Communication Skills. You know how to bring others together around an idea or strategy in written and verbal forms.
  • A Desire for Collaboration. Collaborating and acting as a liaison across multiple stakeholders is where you thrive.
  • A People-First Positivity. You're fueled by being someone others can rely on for high-quality work delivered with a side of positivity.

You Will:

  • Build. The Foundation’s enterprise-wide digital strategy roadmap.
  • Lead. Lead the planning, development, and management of enterprise-wide digital marketing strategies that influence organic, paid, social, and referral traffic and conversion growth and optimizes digital revenue generation.
  • Manage. All digital marketing channels (websites, SEM and SEO, emails and social media) to ensure brand consistency.
  • Guide. The work of visual and UX designers, tech leads, developers, analysts and content creators to meet organizational objectives.
  • Innovate. Stay up to date on industry trends and always demonstrate strong strategic and tactical awareness of SEO, paid media (PPC, paid social, programmatic), organic social, and emerging platforms
  • Develop. User profiles, journeys and relevant features backed by data as well as integrated contact strategies for various audiences.
  • Act as the user. You’ll evaluate issues with technology, thinking as a user, and help identify potential solutions.
  • Manage the details and data. Planning, conducting and synthesizing research and testing. Conduct content inventories and audits and manage content processes. Measure and communicate impact of efforts - ROI and KPIs.
