Aquatech immediately needs a full-time Principal Analyst to work remotely. The hours of this position are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The Principal Analyst will play a key role in evaluating strategic opportunities, including acquisitions, partnerships, and investments. This role focuses on financial analysis, deal modeling, due diligence support, and pipeline management. The ideal candidate is analytically strong, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is highly detail-oriented.
Key Responsibilities
- Deal Analysis & Financial Modeling
- Build, maintain, and analyze financial models (DCF, accretion/dilution, scenario analysis, comparable company analysis).
- Conduct valuation work for potential M&A, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.
- Assess deal structures and prepare supporting financial documentation.
- Pipeline & Process Management
- Support end-to-end deal pipeline tracking in CRM or internal tools.
- Assist with prioritizing and organizing potential opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders on materials, timelines, and deliverables.
- Due Diligence
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to inform deal strategy.
- Support cross-functional workstreams (finance, product, legal, HR).
- Prepare due diligence summaries and insights for senior leadership.
- Executive-Ready Deliverables
- Craft presentations for leadership and board-level discussions.
- Develop investment memos, deal summaries, and business cases.
Required Skill Set
- Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities.
- Solid understanding of corporate finance and accounting.
- High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and/or deal management platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or related field.
- Experience in the water and wastewater treatment sector.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in:
- Investment banking
- Corporate development
- Private equity
- Management consulting (with financial focus)
- Experience working on transactions or strategic financial analyses is a major plus.
- Experience in the water and wastewater sector is an advantage.
