Solar Project Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of solar construction projects — planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, and closeout.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and field personnel to ensure timely and quality completion of work.
- Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure alignment with client and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor construction progress, quality control, and safety compliance per OSHA and company standards.
- Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services to ensure cost efficiency.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules using tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
- Track and report project budgets, change orders, and cost controls.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, inspectors, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct regular site inspections and project meetings to resolve issues proactively.
- Ensure all documentation, permits, and compliance requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on commercial and industrial solar projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, civil, and structural scopes related to solar installations.
- Proven experience managing subcontractors and vendors.
- In-depth understanding of OSHA safety regulations , quality standards, and permitting requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Certifications (Preferred):
- OSHA 30 Certified
- NERC Security Certified
- Lean / Six Sigma / Agile Project Management
