Co-Founder & CFO - EV Charging Tech
Applied Revolutionary Technologies (ART) is an early-stage green technology and EV infrastructure firm pioneering wireless charging networks and advanced photovoltaic materials. We are recruiting a visionary, growth-oriented Co-Founder & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team.
This is a pre-revenue, 100% equity-compensated position to start. As a foundational member of the C-suite, you will work directly alongside the CEO and CSO to define the company’s trajectory, build our financial architecture, and aggressively drive our capitalization strategy.
What Success Looks LikeSuccess in this role means taking immediate ownership of our capital-raising roadmap. Within the first 12 months, you will have successfully mapped out target clean-tech venture funds, built a rigorous 5-to-10-year financial model, and positioned the company to close its initial institutional funding rounds and secure non-dilutive public grants.
Responsibilities- Capital Sourcing & Investor Relations: Architect and execute early-stage capital campaigns; actively pitch to clean-tech venture capital firms, angel syndicates, family offices, and institutional investors.
- Non-Dilutive Funding Strategy: Identify, target, and lead the application process for high-value federal and state grants (such as Department of Energy, Department of Transportation, and regional clean energy programs).
- Financial Modeling & Strategy: Design and refine the company’s long-term financial models, valuation projections, CAPEX planning, and operational budget allocations.
- Corporate Governance & Capitalization: Manage corporate capital structures, future share pool allocations, investor incentive negotiations, and dual-class share mechanisms (Common vs. Preferred stock).
- Strong Financial Foundation: High proficiency in corporate finance, financial modeling, budgeting, and corporate capital structures.
- Analytical Excellence: Advanced mastery of financial engineering tools; ability to translate complex technology and infrastructure milestones into clean, venture-ready projections.
- Growth Mindset & Network Builder: The relentless drive to aggressively research, cold-outreach, and pitch institutional investors and public grant programs—building a network from scratch through sheer hustle if necessary.
- Founder Mindset: The operational stamina and personal stability to execute at an elite level for a foundational equity stake as we scale toward our initial funding round.
- Exceptions Communication: Ability to confidently articulate complex financial narratives, risks, and ROI to internal leadership, partners, and future stakeholders.
- Established Investor Network: An existing, active rolodex of climate-tech venture capitalists, family offices, angel syndicates, or traditional infrastructure investors.
- Strategic Fundraising Experience: A proven track record of personally leading, structuring, or securing previous Seed, Series A, or institutional capital rounds.
- Public Grant Mastery: Prior experience successfully identifying, drafting, or securing high-value non-dilutive federal or state funding (e.g., Department of Energy, Department of Transportation).
- A substantial, foundational equity allocation in a company structured with a clean 40M common / 10M preferred share architecture.
- True Co-Founder status and a seat at the table defining the trajectory of next-generation EV infrastructure.
- Contractually locked evolution to a competitive market-rate executive salary, performance bonuses, and benefits immediately upon the close of our initial funding round.
