Job Description


Apex is seeking a Procurement System Specialist to join our Purchasing Team. In this position you will work closely with the Purchasing Manager to process purchase requisitions, prepare purchasing reports, maintain software tables and assist with developing training materials and presentations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented and has experience with purchasing workflows, policies and procedures. This position requires excellent communication skills, ability to multitask and a helpful attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain software tables
  • Establish new users
  • Prepare purchasing reports
  • Assist with developing training materials
  • Process purchase requisitions
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Success Profile:

To succeed as a Procurement Systems Specialist at Apex Clean Energy, you'll need to excel within the following criteria:

  • 2-3 years of purchasing experience
  • 1-2 years of software administration experience
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Understanding of accounting principals
  • Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in project accounting/purchasing
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Eager to work from our headquarters in Charlottesville, VA; remote work may be a possibility for the right candidate.

Work Environment:

Works primarily traditional office hours. Flexible work hours allowed when work duties and business operations permit.
