As a Senior Consultant in our Reporting and Disclosure team, you will be client-focused, project managing and supporting projects that allow organizations to communicate their progress on sustainability. You will be an experienced writer, with knowledge of how reports are organised and designed, whilst also being meticulous on details.
Alongside this, you will contribute to our long-term growth through supporting the development of our market proposition and business development.
As a Senior Consultant you will typically be line managed by a Principal Consultant or an Associate Director. While you will not always be working on projects with your line manager, their role is to help guide, support and manage your performance and growth in Anthesis.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities fall into three major areas:
Client & Project Delivery – 80% of time
- Project Management – managing the delivery of agreed consulting engagements / projects on time, on budget, and to high standards of quality.
- Deliverable Drafting & Presentation – preparing and delivering high quality reports, presentations, and workshops in line with project scope.
- Report Messaging and Editorial – developing key messaging and positioning for reports, reviewing tone of voice, structure and flow, editing content, and working closely with our in-house design team to ensure designs and narratives work together.
- Expert input and QA – reviewing project work and providing expert viewpoint and quality assurance on deliverables.
- Client Relationship Building – earning the confidence and trust of client teams, and representing our direct clients’ interests effectively inside their organisations.
- Service development - contributing to the development of our reporting service offering and/or streamlining and improving existing service offerings.
- Key Account Development – helping to guide and support deeper and longer-term partnerships with valuable and impactful clients over time.
- Proposal / Bid Writing & Presentation – discussing, framing, designing, pricing and presenting project proposals (with the guidance and support of colleagues)
- Thought Leadership & Marketing – supporting the team and wider business in lead generation and brand-building through the creation of IP and marketing materials
- Training & Personal Development – using the ACE (Anthesis Centre of Excellence) learning and development platform, and guided by your line manager.
- Strategic & Organisational Initiatives – contributing to important internal initiatives and innovation.
Key Requirements, Skills Knowledge & Expertise
We Believe That Great Contributors Can Come From Various Backgrounds, And We Welcome Those Shifting Into The Sustainability Space From Adjacent Fields. As Guidance, At This Level, We Typically Look For
- 5+ years experience in reporting consulting or agency.
- Or 5+ years’ experience in-house, in a related organisational function / field, where report writing was part of role.
- Experience of Sustainability Reporting is essential.
- Confidence in talking to CFOs and financial professionals in client organisations.
- Ability to respond positively to pressure and take a flexible approach to the dynamic, fast moving sustainability reporting sector.
- Good working familiarity with MS Office Suite is required, with high levels of numeracy and good Excel skills preferred.
- Understanding of ESG data collection platform landscape and experience of implementing data systems with clients or in-house is desirable.
- Previous experience with CSRD reporting/preparation, sustainability assurance and/or running Double Materiality Assessments in-house or for a client is desirable
