Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Energy Efficiency Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting energy efficiency, reducing environmental impact, and providing cost-effective solutions to our diverse range of clients. As an Energy Efficiency Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting energy audits, building benchmark studies, analyzing data, and recommending strategies to improve energy consumption and reduce costs. Your role will involve collaborating with our sales staff, our operations team, and our clients to develop and implement sustainable and efficient systems tailored to their specific needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive energy audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Benchmarking and building performance studies.
  • Analyze energy consumption data and recommend strategies for efficiency enhancements.
  • Performing custom rebate applications through the various energy and city sponsored programs.
  • Review existing and potential projects to determine the potential for rebates and impacts on EUI standards.
  • Collaborate with clients to design and implement customized energy-efficient solutions.
  • Keep up with industry trends and technological advancements in energy efficiency.
  • Provide guidance and support to clients in securing available incentives, grants and rebates for energy-efficient upgrades.
  • Produce detailed reports and presentations outlining findings and proposed solutions.
  • Prepare EUI reports for customers with recommend paths to achieve Energize Denver and State Efficiency goals.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, environmental science, architecture, sustainability or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in energy consulting, energy auditing, ESG, real estate sustainability, governmental sustainability programs, utility efficiency programs or energy engineering.
  • Understanding of building mechanical systems, controls systems, electrical systems and energy related impacts.
  • A certification such as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), Certified Commissioning Agent or equivalent.
  • A strong knowledge of energy efficiency principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Ability to provide financial analysis, such and ROI and Life Cycle Cost Analysis for proposed projects.
  • A proficiency in using energy modeling software, such as eQuest, EnergyPlus or HAP.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • A valid driver's license.
