ABOUT THE ROLE

 

As a Senior Broker at AMS Green Markets, you will play a leading role in connecting buyers and sellers across the environmental commodities market. You will develop strategic client relationships, originate new business opportunities, and structure complex transactions while helping clients navigate the rapidly evolving renewable energy landscape.

 

This role requires strong market insight, commercial leadership, and the ability to independently originate and execute transactions. The work can be fast-paced and dynamic, offering significant responsibility and rewarding opportunities for professionals with a passion for environmental sustainability and financial markets.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Developing, managing, and expanding a strategic portfolio of clients across the environmental commodities market.
  • Identifying new brokering opportunities and originating deals within renewable energy certificate markets and related products.
  • Leading negotiations, structuring transactions, and ensuring the successful execution of deals.
  • Conducting in-depth market analyses to identify trends, pricing developments, and sales opportunities.
  • Driving business development initiatives to expand the company’s presence in existing and emerging environmental markets.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients by providing market insights and strategic guidance.
  • Contributing to the development and launch of new products and services within the sustainability and environmental commodities sector.
  • Collaborating with the team to support brokering operations, risk management, and market expansion.


KEY REQUIREMENTS


  • Professional working proficiency in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in commodity brokering, energy trading, environmental markets, or business development.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the biomethane market is a strong plus.
  • Knowlegde of biomethane market is a plus.
  • Experience in market analysis and commercial deal-making.
  • Strong interest in, or knowledge of, the renewable energy or environmental commodities sector.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
  • A strategic, persuasive, and commercially driven mindset.
  • Master’s degree in business administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
