AMPIN Energy Transition is seeking a seasoned ESG & HSE leader to drive our sustainability vision and ensure the highest standards of environmental, social, and safety performance across our renewable energy portfolio. This is a pivotal leadership role for someone committed to climate action, operational excellence, and responsible growth.


How you will contribute:


Strategic Leadership

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of AMPIN’s ESG and HSE strategy across all business units.
  • Ensure alignment with global ESG frameworks (including IFC Performance Standards) and evolving national ESG/EHS regulations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for ESG/HSE matters with senior leadership, lenders, investors, and external stakeholders.


ESIA & ESDD Oversight

  • Oversee planning, coordination, and quality assurance of ESIA and ESDD activities conducted by external consultants.
  • Participate in site visits, stakeholder consultations, and information‑sharing sessions to ensure robust assessments.
  • Review and finalize ESIA/ESDD reports, identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and corrective actions.


Operational Excellence & Compliance

  • Conduct periodic site visits to monitor implementation of Environmental & Social Management Plans (ESMPs).
  • Lead EHS audits, prepare audit reports, and drive closure of non‑conformities across under‑construction and operational sites.
  • Strengthen HSE culture by designing and delivering trainings, capability‑building programs, and compliance frameworks.
  • Track all statutory permits and approvals, identify compliance gaps, and ensure timely resolution.


Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with site in‑charges, O&M managers, and asset managers to embed ESG and HSE best practices across the project lifecycle.
  • Provide strategic guidance to project teams to proactively mitigate ESG/EHS risks.
  • Address lender and investor queries related to environmental and social performance for various projects.


Ideal Candidate Profile:


  • 12+ years of progressive experience in ESG, EHS, or sustainability leadership roles.
  • Mandatory experience in the renewable energy sector (solar, wind, hybrid, or related).
  • Strong understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management system requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead audits, manage consultants, and drive compliance across multiple sites.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities, including preparation of ESG reports and presentation decks.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across project locations in India.
