Assistant Professor – Environmental Science - Amity University Hyderabad
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching in Environmental Science and allied interdisciplinary subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Develop innovative curricula, laboratory modules, field-based learning activities, and outcome-based assessments.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish regularly in Scopus, Web of Science, SCI/SCIE indexed journals.
- Secure sponsored research projects, consultancy assignments, and funding from national and international agencies.
- Guide undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral research scholars.
- Organize field visits, environmental awareness programmes, workshops, seminars, FDPs, and conferences.
- Build collaborations with industry, research organizations, NGOs, and government agencies for research and outreach.
- Promote sustainability initiatives, environmental impact studies, climate action, and community engagement.
Essential Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Environmental Science from a recognized university.
- M.Sc. & B.Sc. in Environmental Science or a relevant discipline with an excellent academic record.
- Consistently strong academic performance throughout.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Strong research profile with quality publications in Scopus/SCI/SCIE/Web of Science indexed journals.
- Experience in externally funded research projects and consultancy is desirable.
- Ability to mentor students and supervise research projects.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Exposure to interdisciplinary teaching, environmental analytics, GIS tools, and sustainability practices will be an added advantage.
