Ameresco is currently seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent with Quality Control Management experience to join our Federal Construction Team in providing leadership, planning and construction management expertise for the scheduling, execution, and successful delivery of our multimillion-dollar design build projects. This opportunity is based on site in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite leadership for direct subcontractor workforce, control and direction of all field and construction management activities.
- Provide onsite Quality Control Management and ensure the project's Quality Control Plan (QCP) is followed.
- Comply with all applicable codes, standards, and project specifications (e.g., UFGS, federal regulations).
- Review project plans, submittals, and specifications to identify and resolve potential quality issues.
- Read and understand specifications, reference codes and standards.
- Work with Manager to ensure timely regulatory compliance and reporting.
- Monitor and report on project progress.
- Work with staff to forecast and maintain maintenance, repair and replacement stock on assigned projects.
- Order and coordinate inventory of material stock and equipment for all locations.
- Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors and other construction personnel to determine project needs.
- Ensure job site remains safe, clean, and orderly.
- Resolve on-site issues and emergencies.
- Estimate costs and ensure the project is on budget.
- Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or the equivalent is required.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a construction superintendent (or related role) in federal construction.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience as project Quality Control Manager.
- Valid USACE/NAVFAC CQ/CM certificate at time of hire is required.
Additional Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or a related discipline preferred.
- Computer software proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Procore, Prolog or equivalent construction industry Project Management Information System.
- Knowledge of quality assurance practices, construction materials, and methods.
- In depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, manpower, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to lead field operations.
- Strong verbal, written, computer, technical communication and presentation skills.
- Proven experience with OSHA safety standards, building systems, engineering, and project management regulations, practices, and codes.
- OSHA 30-hour Certification.
- Valid Drivers’ License in good standing, issued by resident state.
- Ability to review confidential US security information.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and foster positive business relationships.
