Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Ecology, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Geography, Sustainability Studies, or related disciplines may apply for this position.
Master's Degree (Preferred/Advantageous):
Candidates with an M.Sc., M.Tech., M.E., M.A., or other relevant postgraduate qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Ecology, Climate Change, Sustainability, Natural Resource Management, or related disciplines will be preferred.
Additional preference will be given to candidates possessing:
- Certifications in environmental impact assessment, sustainability, climate risk, or environmental management systems.
- Professional certifications in GIS, remote sensing, or environmental monitoring.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance frameworks, and permitting processes.
- Membership of recognised professional environmental or sustainability bodies.
- Specialized qualifications in climate resilience, ESG, waste management, or biodiversity conservation
Relevant Work Experience
Candidates with 10+ years of progressive experience in environmental consulting, environmental management, sustainability advisory, compliance monitoring, ecosystem assessment, climate resilience, or government environmental projects are eligible to apply for this position.
Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in:

Role Overview
The Senior Consultant - Government Advisory - Environmental Science will provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise across environmental assessments, sustainability, compliance, climate resilience, and public sector advisory assignments. The role requires strong analytical capability, environmental knowledge, and the ability to engage effectively with government departments, regulators, public agencies, implementation partners, and industry stakeholders.
The selected candidate will support projects involving environmental policy, impact assessments, sustainability planning, compliance reviews, field investigations, and environmental governance initiatives.
Roles & Responsibilities
Environmental Advisory & Technical Leadership
Provide technical leadership on environmental advisory assignments involving environmental assessments, sustainability planning, compliance support, and environmental governance strategy.
Environmental Impact Assessment & Compliance
Support preparation and review of environmental impact assessments, baseline studies, compliance reports, mitigation plans, and statutory environmental submissions.
Sustainability & Climate Advisory
Advise on sustainability strategies, climate adaptation, climate resilience, ESG frameworks, resource efficiency, and low-impact development approaches.
Pollution Control & Waste Management
Support clients and government bodies on air, water, soil, and noise pollution control, waste management systems, hazardous waste handling, and environmental mitigation measures.
Ecology, Biodiversity & Natural Resource Assessment
Conduct and review ecological studies, biodiversity assessments, habitat evaluations, and natural resource impact analyses for projects and policy assignments.
Regulatory Compliance & Statutory Advisory
Advise on compliance with environmental laws, clearances, consent frameworks, monitoring requirements, and regulatory obligations applicable to public and private sector projects

Government & Public Sector Advisory
Support government departments, public agencies, and regulatory bodies on environmental policy, sustainability frameworks, circular economy initiatives, and institutional strengthening.
Data Analysis & Technical Reporting
Prepare and review environmental reports, assessments, compliance documents, technical notes, and executive presentations.
Stakeholder Engagement
Engage with government officials, regulators, consultants, project proponents, community representatives, and technical teams to support project delivery and sector engagement.
Capacity Building & Knowledge Transfer
Design and deliver training programmes, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions on environmental regulations, sustainability practices, and monitoring systems.
Field Assessments & Site Reviews
Lead field visits, environmental audits, site inspections, monitoring exercises, and verification assessments across project locations.
Additional Project Responsibilities
Undertake any additional responsibilities assigned by the Engagement Manager or Senior Leadership in alignment with project requirements and organisational priorities.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Travel & Mobility Requirements
- Willingness to travel extensively across project locations within Rajasthan and other states.
- Ability to undertake site visits, stakeholder consultations, project reviews, and field assessments.
- Flexibility to work in remote or project-based environments when required.
- Comfortable with periodic site-based assignments and project travel
