We are looking for a legal eagle, an experienced Contracts Manager obsessed with the fine print. We need someone with hands-on experience in conciliation, mediation, and arbitration.
When we say our client is a trailblazer in the renewable energy industry, we mean it. One of South Africa’s leading IPP’s specialising in solar, wind, hydro and BESS and they need a Contracts Manager to keep projects running smoothly before they have even started.
You will be involved in every phase of the project lifecycle—from bid stage and financial close to construction and operations. You'll support contract reviews, draft and finalise EPC and O&Magreements, and manage complex legal challenges. This means defending claims, managing variations, and challengingproject representations when necessary. Your insights will guide stakeholders through risk mitigation, emerging risks, and establish robust communication and record-keeping systems. Essentially, you’ll be the legal backbone, ensuring smooth project flow across claims, suspensions, milestone reviews, and final acceptance phases.
We’re looking for someone who knows their FIDIC from their EPC and has experience with renewable energy contracts, including O&M agreements, PPAs, and Implementation Agreements. If you've navigated REIPPPP projects and have a knack for bringing structure and stability to complex legal environments, this is the perfect role for you.
