⚡ Energy & Decarbonization Project Engineer | Lead Sustainable Industry Projects with ALTEN

We are currently looking for an Energy & Decarbonization Project Engineer to support major energy transition projects within the manufacturing sector.
About the Project:
Join a strategic engineering team focused on the implementation of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and industrial decarbonization initiatives. You will contribute to projects that reduce energy consumption, operational costs, and CO₂ emissions across multiple industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage energy efficiency and industrial decarbonization projects.
- Support the implementation of renewable energy initiatives, particularly Solar PV installations.
- Develop and coordinate industrial heat pump projects.
- Identify and implement waste heat recovery opportunities.
- Optimize utility systems including steam, compressed air, chilled water, and thermal systems.
- Perform energy consumption analysis and energy balance assessments.
- Conduct technical and financial feasibility studies for investment projects.
- Coordinate suppliers, contractors, and commissioning activities.
- Manage project schedules, risks, milestones, and corrective actions.
- Control project CAPEX and monitor budget performance.
- Validate project results through energy savings, cost reduction, and CO₂ emissions reduction metrics.
- Prepare regular updates and reports for project leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in energy, industrial utilities, sustainability, or decarbonization projects.
- Knowledge of industrial energy systems and energy performance optimization.
- Experience with Solar PV, Industrial Heat Pumps, Heat Recovery, or similar technologies will be highly valued.
- Strong analytical skills for technical and economic evaluation of investments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience with Microsoft Planner Pro or equivalent project management tools.
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent Portuguese and English.
Location: Porto & Oliveira de Azeméis (On-site).
