Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 1.5 Years (Strong potential to convert to full-time)

  • Schedule:

    • Typical: 4 x 10-hour days

    • Occasionally: 5 x 8–10-hour days

Onboarding Requirements

  • 7-year Criminal and County Background Check

  • 10-Panel Drug Screen

  • Breathalyzer (site manager's discretion)

  • Clean Driving Record (No felony-level accidents, DUIs/DWIs)

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of safety experience in construction or industrial settings

  • OSHA 30 Certification

  • CPR/AED Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 510 or OSHA 500

  • Experience in solar, electrical, or complex construction projects

  • Bilingual (Spanish, Haitian Creole, etc.)

Job Description

We're looking for a Safety Technician to support field safety operations on a large-scale renewable energy construction project. This role is ideal for individuals who are hands-on, observant, and proactive about workplace safety.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field-level safety observations and report hazards

  • Enforce site safety protocols with crews and subcontractors

  • Perform daily jobsite inspections and monitor proper PPE use

  • Assist with incident investigations and report writing

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety standards

  • Help deliver toolbox talks and daily safety briefings

  • Maintain safety logs and documentation

  • Act as a visible, approachable safety presence on-site
