Duration: 1.5 Years (Strong potential to convert to full-time)
Schedule:
Typical: 4 x 10-hour days
Occasionally: 5 x 8–10-hour days
Onboarding Requirements
7-year Criminal and County Background Check
10-Panel Drug Screen
Breathalyzer (site manager's discretion)
Clean Driving Record (No felony-level accidents, DUIs/DWIs)
Required Qualifications
1+ year of safety experience in construction or industrial settings
OSHA 30 Certification
CPR/AED Certification
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 510 or OSHA 500
Experience in solar, electrical, or complex construction projects
Bilingual (Spanish, Haitian Creole, etc.)
Job Description
We're looking for a Safety Technician to support field safety operations on a large-scale renewable energy construction project. This role is ideal for individuals who are hands-on, observant, and proactive about workplace safety.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Conduct field-level safety observations and report hazards
Enforce site safety protocols with crews and subcontractors
Perform daily jobsite inspections and monitor proper PPE use
Assist with incident investigations and report writing
Ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety standards
Help deliver toolbox talks and daily safety briefings
Maintain safety logs and documentation
Act as a visible, approachable safety presence on-site
