Location: Burbank Airport – Burbank, California Start Date: ASAP (1 more opening in November) Contract Duration: 12 Months Pay Rate: $45-$55 per hour + $100 per day per diem Schedule & Hours: 5x8s (Monday–Friday, 5:00 a.m. – CHST or CSHO or SCS (Construction Safety credential) Safety knowledge in: Crane operation Excavation Strong field presence and communication with craftsmen and leadership Prior experience in electrical construction safety Spanish-speaking Previous experience at airports or large transportation networks Construction Safety Lead We’re seeking a hands-on Safety Lead to support active construction work at Burbank Airport. You’ll work directly in the field alongside union electrical crews to ensure safe operations across crane, trenching, confined space, and electrical activities. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being in the field, interacting with crews, and driving safety culture through daily audits and communication. You’ll collaborate with a Site Safety Manager, perform safety inspections, and support site compliance training. Conduct daily field audits and safety inspections Support electrical and crane operations with proactive hazard prevention Monitor compliance for trenching, confined space, and excavation safety Partner with site management to reinforce safe work practices.
