Associate / Senior Associate
Job Description
Allied Climate Partners (ACP)
Associate / Senior Associate
Introduction to Allied Climate Partners (ACP):
ACP is a philanthropic investment organization with a mission to address climate finance bottlenecks in emerging economies.
We exist to channel significantly more capital into local investment managers in emerging markets who are ready to scale green businesses and build climate infrastructure, but who lack access to catalytic funding. We invest where capital is scarce but opportunity for impact is high, providing catalytic capital, strategic expertise, and a mandate to close critical climate financing gaps. By backing local, commercially-oriented funds, we help unlock businesses and projects that might otherwise struggle to raise capital, crowd in private investment, and open new markets. The funds we support target commercial returns while advancing decarbonization and economic development – and all investment returns are recycled back into our charitable mission, compounding our impact over time. ACP’s funds are expected to create positive impacts on vulnerable and at-risk communities, including improving access to clean and resilient infrastructure (e.g., energy, transport) and strengthening resilience against climate risks.
The CEO of ACP is Ahmed Saeed, and its Chair is Mark Gallogly. Our work is supported by leading funders including: Arnold Ventures, Bezos Earth Fund, Rainier Climate Foundation, Sea Change Foundation, Three Cairns Group, Yield Giving and others. Currently, ACP has approximately 20 people building the organization. We are active in Africa, India, Southeast Asia, and Latin America & the Caribbean. ACP may also expand to other regions.
