Job Description
We are looking for a motivated Junior Solar Installer to join our dynamic team at All Starr Electric and Solar LLC. In this entry-level role, you will play a crucial part in the installation and maintenance of solar energy systems, contributing to our mission of promoting sustainable energy solutions. You’ll gain hands-on experience while working alongside seasoned professionals in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of solar photovoltaic systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and best practices
- Support the team in conducting site assessments to determine optimal solar panel placements
- Help with the maintenance and troubleshooting of existing solar installations
- Participate in the assembly and installation of racking systems, solar panels, inverters, and electrical components
- Contribute to maintaining an organized and safe job site
- Engage in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge about solar technology
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong interest in renewable energy and sustainability
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols
Preferred:
- Experience in construction, electrical work, or a related field
- Familiarity with solar technology and systems
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and installation processes
- Familiarity with hand and power tools used in installation
- Understanding of solar panel components and their functions
