Candidates must possess professional fluency (written and spoken) in English and one priority language: Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Khmer, or Spanish.
Over 8-10 months, participate in community outreach, outreach coordination, and technical training to prepare for a career as a residential Energy Specialist. This is a temporary position ending 10 months after hire. After the training program, placement options may include roles at All In Energy, including an extension of this position, depending on funding.
Do you want to advance racial and economic justice while tackling climate change?
All In Energy, a nonprofit organization, was founded with a mission to accelerate an inclusive clean energy economy. We believe that to effectively combat climate change, our strategies must also confront income inequality, social inequity, and racial injustice. We work hand-in-hand with cities, local community organizations, and clean energy companies to connect communities of color, non-English speakers, and renters to energy-saving programs and affordable renewable energy. Our work helps families save money, makes their homes healthier, combats climate change, and creates new pathways into clean energy jobs for people of color, multilingual individuals, and women.
We’re seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team as a Community Outreach Coordinator. In this role, you will help drive outreach campaigns that help underserved residents save energy and money and improve their lives. You will connect families to programs that help them access weatherization, heat pumps, rooftop solar, community solar, electric vehicles, and other clean energy technologies.
The Community Outreach Coordinator will develop partnerships with community-based organizations, agencies, and businesses. You will support our Community Outreach Ambassadors in setting up information tables at community events, door-to-door canvassing, and other outreach methods. You will be a core part of a team helping low-income, immigrant, BIPOC, and English-isolated households access Massachusetts’ nation-leading clean energy programs, improving home environments, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. As Coordinator, you will be central to evaluating and improving our outreach strategies and operations in collaboration with our Community Outreach Manager.
Supporting outreach and partnership development will occupy roughly 70% of your day-to-day work. Outside of this time, you will participate in All In Energy’s Energy Specialist training program, building the technical, hands-on skills to prepare you for a future career as a residential Energy Specialist.
