Assistant Manager-Sustainability

Project: Climate Change project
Key Responsibilities:
· Support the design, pilot, and scale-up of green microfinance products including clean energy loans, energy efficiency solutions, and climate-resilient agriculture finance.
· Conduct field research, vulnerability assessments, baseline surveys, and climate risk analysis to inform project design.
· Develop proposals aligned with donor requirements to target climate finance opportunities.
· Track, analyze, and document sustainability impact metrics (GHG emissions, resource efficiency, climate resilience indicators, SDG alignment).
· Collaborate with field teams, community organizations, and partners to promote climate change adaptation, mitigation, and resilience awareness.
· Coordinate and deliver capacity-building workshops, training programs, and client awareness campaigns on sustainable practices.
· Stay updated on climate finance policies, international frameworks, and emerging technologies in sustainability.
· Lead aspects of stakeholder engagement, partnership building, and multi-stakeholder collaboration.
· Support project management, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting in line with global sustainability standards.
Experience & Qualification
· Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Climate Change, or Sustainability Management.
· Minimum 02 years of relevant experience in sustainability, climate finance, or environmental management.
· Strong interest and experience in climate change, sustainable development, inclusive finance, and impact measurement.
· Excellent research, data analysis, and communication skills with the ability to synthesize technical information for multiple audiences.
· Proficiency in MS Office, data collection tools, and sustainability reporting platforms.
· Willingness to travel to rural and field project sites.
Desirable (Not Mandatory)
· Knowledge of local languages and community contexts in target areas.
· Experience with GIS, remote sensing, LCA, or carbon foot printing tools.
· Prior work with NGOs, microfinance institutions, development partners, or donor-funded projects.
