Position Summary

The Water Sales Lead will own and drive AirJoule’s commercial strategy for water-focused products and solutions. This role is responsible for building and executing sales strategy, developing key customer relationships, and closing high-value deals across priority water markets. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and leadership to translate cutting-edge technology into real-world impact.

This is a hands-on role suited for someone who can both set strategy and personally close deals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end sales strategy for AirJoule’s water solutions, from market entry through scale
  • Identify, qualify, and close commercial opportunities across industrial, commercial, municipal, and infrastructure markets
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, including long-cycle and complex deals
  • Develop deep relationships with customers, partners, EPCs, integrators, and strategic stakeholders
  • Lead customer discovery to inform pricing, product positioning, and go-to-market strategy
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to align customer requirements with technical capabilities
  • Support pilot projects, demonstrations, and early deployments through commercial close
  • Represent AirJoule at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings
  • Contribute to revenue forecasting, contract negotiations, and commercial planning
  • Help define and refine sales processes, tools, and messaging as the company scales



Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum Experience: 7+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or commercial leadership
  • Experience in water sales required


Preferred Experience

  • Proven track record closing complex, high-value technical or infrastructure deals
  • Comfortable selling emerging or first-of-a-kind technologies
  • Strong understanding of long sales cycles and multi-stakeholder decision processes
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Willingness to travel as needed for customer and partner engagements
  • Experience selling capital equipment, systems, or platform technologies
  • Background working with utilities, industrial customers, or government entities
  • Familiarity with water treatment, water generation, or sustainability markets
