About The Role

As our Digital Marketing Manager, you won't just be managing channels; you'll be the voice for Indigenous and local communities on the front lines of the climate crisis. We are looking for a creative powerhouse to lead our digital and press presence, turning complex climate issues into compelling stories that inspire action. Qualifications

  • A proven track record of developing and executing high-impact digital marketing strategies that drive engagement and support organizational goals.
  • Extensive experience managing social media platforms, content creation, and digital campaigns, with a focus on storytelling and advocacy.
  • Strong understanding of digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics, CRM systems like Salesforce, and email marketing platforms like DotDigital.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing and inspiring cross-functional teams and agency partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience optimizing websites for visibility and user engagement.
  • Deep commitment to environmental justice, human rights, and indigenous rights.
  • Desirable: Experience in the environmental or social justice sectors, international fundraising, and fluency in written and spoken Spanish.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Impact: Lead the delivery of our digital strategy across all channels, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Manage the Digital Officer to execute campaigns that increase visibility, engagement, and supporter conversion, tracking KPIs to measure success through 2026 and 2027.

Social Media and Storytelling: Collaborate with in-country coordinators and team members to transform raw, frontline stories into compelling content. Develop key individuals as ambassadors for Cool Earth on social media platforms, enhancing our reach and influence. Oversee organic and paid social campaigns to maximize awareness and lead generation, working with agency partners to ensure each post and advertisement contributes meaningfully to our mission.

Digital Innovation and Website Excellence: Oversee the management and continual improvement of our website, working with web developers to ensure a seamless, high-performing user experience. Implement SEO strategies, content updates, and technical enhancements to increase visibility and engagement, converting visitors into supporters and donors.

PR and Influence: Amplify our press and media work by nurturing relationships with journalists, influencers, and ambassadors. Secure high-quality content and media coverage that positions Cool Earth at the forefront of climate and rainforest conservation conversations.

Movement Building via Email: Lead the development and execution of email marketing campaigns, leveraging platforms like DotDigital and Salesforce to create automated supporter journeys. Collaborate with the fundraising team to craft compelling stories, impact reports, quizzes, and updates that deepen supporter engagement and foster long-term advocacy.

Data-Driven Growth: Monitor campaign performance and analyze data to inform strategic decisions. Provide insights to senior leadership, optimize ongoing campaigns, and implement agency recommendations to ensure continuous growth and improved conversion rates.
