Location/Remote: Onsite in Cedar Park, TX (i.e., 5 days onsite/week)

Employment Type: Full-time / Permanent / Direct Hire

Compensation: Up to $35/hour (equivalent to ~$72k annually, assuming no overtime)

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday (some overtime available)

We're looking for a Battery Assembly Technician to join our growing team in Cedar Park, Texas. If you have hands-on electrical and mechanical assembly experience, enjoy precision work, and are comfortable working around high-voltage components, this role offers a great opportunity to grow in a fast-paced, highly innovative environment.

In this position, you'll assemble, test, and inspect high-voltage battery modules and subassemblies used in next-generation generator systems. This is a detail-oriented role that requires strong quality focus, the ability to follow standardized work instructions, and comfort working with sensitive, high-value materials. Candidates with experience in EV batteries, energy storage, aerospace electronics, PCBA, or other precision electromechanical environments are highly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • 1–3+ years of hands-on experience in battery assembly, EV/energy storage, aerospace electronics, electrical assembly, or precision electro-mechanical assembly.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical build tasks such as crimping, fastening, torque tools, connector installation, and cable routing.
  • Experience working with PCB assemblies, BMS boards, or other sensitive electronic components.
  • Comfort working around high-voltage systems (training provided).
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and work instructions.
  • Hands-on experience using multimeters, crimp tools, torque drivers, and basic electrical or leak-test equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality mindset, and reliability due to the complexity and cost of materials.
  • Ability to follow standardized work, build documentation, traceability logs, and revision-controlled processes.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug test is required.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Laser welding experience
  • Experience assembling high-voltage battery packs or energy storage systems
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or high-voltage safety training
  • Experience with prototype, pilot-line, or R&D manufacturing environments
  • Exposure to Lean/5S principles and structured quality systems
  • Experience collaborating with engineering, quality, and test teams
