Responsibilities Perform assigned O&M activities for utility‐scale solar PV sites and associated substations. Assist with corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance, safely operating equipment such as inverters (SMA), trackers (Nextracker), combiner boxes, PV modules, DC/AC collection systems, and substation equipment. Conduct routine maintenance tasks including electrical troubleshooting, instrumentation calibration, and basic inverter troubleshooting as per work orders. Prepare and implement switching and clearance orders; operate power plant electrical and mechanical systems. Participate in required training and assist with technical and administrative duties of plant operations. Support site vegetation management using tractors, mowers, and other equipment as needed. Write or assist with plant orders, procedures, operating instructions, and related documentation. Ensure work meets environmental and safety requirements and may perform tasks independently or in crews. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 1 year of utility‐scale solar PV O&M experience, with skilled knowledge of electrical systems and safety principles (LOTO, electrical safety). Experience operating personal computers and proficiency with standard business software. Experience with SCADA and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems highly recommended. Strong teamwork, communication, and problem‐solving skills; ability to work in a multi‐functional, geographically diverse organization. Technical ability to read, write, and understand English. Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations. Proactive, detail‐oriented, and willing to assist colleagues. Education & Experience 4‐year technical degree or equivalent; or 2‐year technical degree with Journeyman qualifications. Three (3) or more years as a PV O&M solar technician, or five (5) or more years in a power plant with at least one year in PV O&M or construction. Demonstrated knowledge of electrical fundamentals (single‐craft journeyman skills) such as electrical measurements, control circuits, and solid‐state theory. Basic understanding of operational characteristics of photovoltaic equipment and control devices installed in power generation facilities. Working Conditions Work primarily outdoors at a solar power plant and/or office environment, including exposure to high/low ambient temperatures, humidity, and heights. Activities involve standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, twisting, climbing stairs and ladders, and entering plant equipment for inspection. Must wear personal protective equipment such as respirators, safety glasses, hard hats, appropriate footwear, and ear plugs. Possible work around rotating, energized equipment and hazardous materials; occasional lifting required. Work may include overtime, non‐standard hours, and nighttime shifts; travel to sites outside the typical area may be required. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
