We are currently seeking qualified and safety-focused Drill Rig Operators, Mechanics, and Laborers to support a drilling project in Abilene, Texas.
Position Overview
These positions perform essential functions supporting daily drilling operations utilizing Epiroc drill rigs. Employees will work closely with supervisors and crew members to ensure safe, efficient, and productive operations. Roles require the ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments while maintaining strict adherence to safety and company policies.
Work schedules are generally Monday through Friday, with up to 12-hour shifts. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on operational needs.
Open Positions & Essential Responsibilities
Epiroc Drill Rig Operator
Operate Epiroc drill rigs safely and in compliance with company procedures and project specifications.
Perform pre-shift inspections and routine preventative maintenance.
Identify, report, and assist in correcting mechanical or safety issues.
Coordinate with laborers and mechanics during setup and drilling operations.
Complete required production, safety, and equipment documentation.
Drill Rig Mechanic
Diagnose, repair, and maintain Epiroc drill rigs and related equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Maintain service records and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Provide operational support to drilling crews as needed.
Construction / Drilling Laborer
Assist drilling crews with daily site operations and equipment setup.
Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and supplies.
Perform site preparation, cleanup, and general labor duties.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite.
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and supervisory instructions.
Qualifications & Certifications (Position Dependent)
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must hold a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to pass a security background check.
CPR and First Aid certification required for all employees (must be current or obtained within a specified timeframe).
OSHA 30 certification required for Drill Rig Operators.
OSHA 10 certification required for Mechanics and Laborers (or ability to obtain).
Prior experience with Epiroc drill rigs preferred for Operators and Mechanics.
Mechanical experience preferred for Mechanic positions.
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform manual labor for extended periods.
Construction or drilling experience preferred but not required for Laborers.
Schedule & Pay Classification
Monday through Friday
Up to 12 hours per day
Overtime and weekend work as required
Positions are hourly and non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
