Health Safety Environment Coordinator
The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining environmental and workplace safety programs within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting safe work practices, and helping create a safe and healthy workplace for all employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs
- Conduct regular safety and environmental inspections of facilities
- Identify safety hazards and ensure corrective actions are completed
- Assist with maintaining and updating safety policies and procedures
- Lead or support safety training for employees
- Investigate workplace accidents and incidents and recommend preventive actions
- Track and maintain safety documentation and records
- Work with Workers’ Compensation and safety partners as needed
- Support compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Knowledge of OSHA and general EHS regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with employees at all levels of an organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field
- Experience supporting multi-site operations
- Experience conducting safety training and audits
Work Environment
- Manufacturing / industrial environment
- Regular time spent on the shop floor
- May require travel between nearby facilities
