Job Description

The Role

The Project Planning and Scheduling Specialist role contributes to leading and supporting the scheduling and wider project controls function within the Program Controls team. They will be responsible for operating project controls for programmes and major projects and working with Project Managers and more junior scheduling resources to build project scheduling capability.

What will a day in this role look like:
  • Manage and be responsible for projects from pre-contract to design, construction, delivery and commissioning across a range of major projects both in cities and in remote locations across ANZ
  • Assist the broader Project and Program Management team to provide AECOM’s clients with full, end-to-end project management services
  • Contribute to the preparation and presentation of proposals to clients whilst developing and enhancing relationships with clients, AECOM staff and other stakeholders
  • Apply and use your knowledge of scheduling and planning best practices including knowledge of scope control, change management and earned valued methodology

Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus
  • 5+ Years of experience in project planning and scheduling, specifically in large engineering infrastructure construction projects
  • Extensive experience with Primavera P6 and other project management software
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project lifecycle, and industry standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is preferred.
