Role Description
The Technical Field Specialist is a full-time hybrid role with the flexibility to work remotely, however 80-90% travel is typically required. The individual will be responsible for servicing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting ADS-TEC Energy systems at customer locations around North America. The individual will providing technical support to customers on-site and coordinate remote monitoring. Additional responsibilities include training customers as well as 3rd party field technicians, documenting service activities, and collaborating with the technical teams both in US and Germany to resolve issues and improve system performance.
Qualifications
- Technical expertise in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and maintaining energy storage systems and/or battery technologies
- Ability to interpret technical documentation such as schematics, service manuals, and electrical diagrams as well as trouble shoot with systems data and feedback
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and safety standards
- Proficiency in using technical tools and software for diagnostics and fault analysis reporting
- Must be able to travel extensively across North America including Canada
- Excellent communication skills while interacting with customers and team members
- Problem-solving abilities and adaptability to manage on-site challenges and time-sensitive issues
- Installation and technical commissioning of charging solutions and storage systems
- Previous experience in electric vehicle charging systems, battery systems, or renewable energy-related technologies is a plus
- Journeyman status or associate or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering, or a electrical technical proficiency is preferred
