Job Purpose-

The Lead - Electrical drives the design, integration, and validation of turbine electrical systems, ensuring high performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. The role focuses on SCADA integration, subsystem validation, thermal management, and power quality optimization, addressing compatibility challenges and ensuring efficient load distribution. It leads the testing and maintenance of critical components like converters, transformers, and generators to align with performance goals. The role supports field operations, conducts root cause analyses for subsystem failures, and implements corrective actions to improve reliability. Additionally, it collaborates with cross-functional teams to refine designs and ensure manufacturability, contributing to long-term operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities of Role-

  • Development and tuning of control algorithms.
  • Implementation of control algorithms in MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Simulate software in hardware in loop (HIL) or Software in loop (SIL)
  • Able to simulate grid fault related in simulation runs in control algorithm.
  • Control performance data analysis in turbine/fleet level controller tuning and optimization
  • Execute wind turbine controls system and software development
  • Perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis and develop comprehensive requirements for wind turbine software features and components
  • Develop test cases and perform controls software validation
  • Be responsible for technical design of wind turbine controls hardware, including sensors (temperature, proximity, vibration, etc.), I/O, and communication equipment
  • Able to validate control logics through field tests, conclude on the design aspects
  • Create engineering documentation, including bills of material, drawings, specifications, and manufacturing & field instructions
  • Occasionally travel to site to support product testing and/or customer issues
  • Having Power system background would be added advantage to this role to support on Grid compliance requirements.
