Project Engineer (Contract) – Renewable Energy & Water Treatment Location: Type: Full-Time Contract | Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm

AD Energy is seeking a Project Engineer (Contract) on behalf of a client partner operating a newly commissioned renewable energy and industrial water treatment facility in Pasco, Washington.
This role is ideal for a mechanically bias engineer who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about optimizing equipment performance and operational reliability. You’ll be at the heart of plant operations—analyzing mechanical systems, troubleshooting issues, and driving improvement initiatives across critical equipment.
Monitor and analyze equipment performance using Excel and SCADA system data
5 Whys) for mechanical failures and anomalies
Recommend and implement both short-term and long-term corrective actions
Collaborate with equipment manufacturers, plant operators, and engineering leadership
Maintain detailed performance logs and deliver weekly performance reports
Participate in daily operations meetings, providing technical insight on system issues
3–5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, reliability engineering, or similar
~ Solid working knowledge of pumps, valves, chains, lubrication systems, and other mechanical components
~ Proficiency in Excel and confident managing performance tracking data
~ Experience applying root cause analysis and maintenance best practices
~ Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent field experience)
Familiarity with SCADA systems and operational data analytics
Background in industrial water treatment, process equipment, or manufacturing environments
Blend of hands-on equipment assessment and desk-based data analysis
Daily collaboration with operators, contractors, and cross-functional engineering teams
Agile, lean team culture focused on continuous improvement and fast issue resolution
