Job Title: Project Manager Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to lead and manage initiatives within a high-volume tire manufacturing facility. You will play a critical role in project initiation, planning, execution, delivery oversight, monitoring, and risk management to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement. Responsibilities

  • Conduct kickoff workshops with facility stakeholders such as production supervisors, automation engineers, and IT leads to define project charters for tire building line reconfigurations.
  • Develop detailed project plans using MS Project, incorporating Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for phases including rubber compounding optimization and PLC upgrades.
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, and risks for 3-5 concurrent projects, such as the implementation of IoT sensors for predictive maintenance or migration of legacy SCADA systems to cloud-based platforms.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams for on-site implementations, ensuring minimal disruption to 24/7 tire production shifts.
  • Facilitate procurement of specialized equipment, such as robotic arms for ply layering, and manage vendor integrations while adhering to supplier qualification processes.
  • Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using Jira dashboards and Power BI reports, focusing on metrics such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and downtime reduction.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, including supply chain delays and safety hazards, through regular Gemba walks and root cause analysis using methodologies like 5-Why.
Essential Skills
  • Project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • PMP certification.
  • Proficiency in using MS Project for detailed project planning.
  • Experience with Jira and Power BI for tracking and reporting KPIs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Familiarity with automated calendering, extrusion, and assembly lines in tire manufacturing.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and leading initiatives in a high-volume production setting.
Work Environment The role involves leading projects within a large tire building facility that utilizes automated calendering, extrusion, and assembly lines. The facility operates 24/7, requiring coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure minimal disruption during project implementations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Woodburn, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $48.00/hr.
