Hiring: Electrical Project Manager - Tampa, FL

We are seeking an Electrical Project Manager to oversee commercial, multifamily, and mixed-use electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for an experienced Electrical Project Manager, Superintendent, Foreman, or Journeyman Electrician who is looking to leverage their field experience in a project leadership role.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical construction operations, project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and client relations. Candidates who have successfully led field crews and are ready to transition into project management are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Manage electrical construction projects from award through completion.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and scope requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, and procurement schedules.
  • Coordinate field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure successful project execution.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract modifications.
  • Track project costs, labor productivity, and overall project performance.
  • Conduct job site visits and collaborate with field teams to ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
  • Identify project risks and implement solutions to minimize delays and cost impacts.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular project status updates to management and customers.
  • Manage project closeout activities, including as-built documentation, warranties, and final project deliverables.

Required Qualifications

  • Prior experience in electrical construction.
  • Experience as an Electrical Project Manager, Superintendent, Foreman, General Foreman, or Journeyman Electrician.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Understanding of project scheduling, job costing, budgeting, and manpower planning.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of electrical project management experience.
  • Experience with commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, or large-scale electrical construction projects.
  • Proficiency with Procore and other construction management platforms.
  • Estimating experience and understanding of project financials.
  • OSHA certification.
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician License.
  • FASA/BASA certification is a plus.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who understands electrical construction from the ground up. The ideal candidate may currently be an Electrical Superintendent, Foreman, General Foreman, or Journeyman Electrician who has led crews, coordinated project activities, and managed jobsite operations and is ready to transition into a Project Management role. Candidates with both field and project management experience are highly preferred.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $50.48/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
