Project Manager

The Project Manager oversees complex capital projects within an industrial manufacturing environment, coordinating internal teams and external partners to ensure successful delivery. This role develops project scopes and objectives, manages resources and budgets, and drives projects from initiation through completion. The Project Manager ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and high standards of technical feasibility and documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage internal and external resources, including third parties and vendors, to execute projects from initiation through completion.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within defined scope, and within approved budget.
  • Develop clear project scopes and objectives that align with organizational goals and manufacturing operations.
  • Engage all relevant stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle and ensure technical feasibility of proposed solutions.
  • Plan and allocate resources effectively to support project milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project plans to track progress, including schedules, milestones, and resource assignments.
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage and control changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Measure project performance using established systems, tools, and techniques, and report on key metrics.
  • Manage project planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities to support capital project execution.
  • Coordinate vendor management activities, including selection, negotiation, and ongoing performance oversight.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation to support transparency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, clients, and stakeholders to support project success.
  • Coordinate people and processes to ensure that project objectives and desired results are achieved.
  • Apply business skills in management, budgeting, and analysis to support sound decision-making.
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently while maintaining attention to detail and quality.

Essential Skills:

  • 57 years of experience managing projects, including large-scale capital projects.
  • Proven experience managing projects with budgets of $5 million or more.
  • Strong experience in engineering, project management, and project engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • CapEx project management experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Demonstrated ability in project planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Experience with vendor management and coordination of third-party resources.
  • Proficiency in using project performance systems, tools, and techniques to monitor and control projects.
  • Ability to apply verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedules, and costs.
  • Knowledge of comprehensive project documentation practices and standards.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Strong coordination skills to align people and processes with project goals.
  • Solid understanding of business management, budgeting, and analytical practices.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

This role operates in an industrial manufacturing environment, working closely with engineering, operations, and external vendors to deliver capital projects. The Project Manager uses project management systems, performance tools, and documentation platforms to plan, track, and report on project progress. The environment is dynamic and growth-oriented, with expansion plans under discussion for the next five years, offering opportunities to lead impactful projects and support the company's long-term development.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shreveport, LA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $72.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
