Job Title: Project Manager - Supplier Transition ProjectsJob Description We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee multiple small and medium supplier transition projects, ensuring their successful completion within approved scope, timeframe, and budget. The role involves coordinating project activities, leading cross-functional teams, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders. Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple small and medium supplier transition projects, balancing priorities with discretion and independent judgment.
  • Coordinate project activities following stage-gate and/or PCO processes.
  • Challenge project schedules to drive urgency with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Lead cross-functional project team meetings, document action items, track progress, and update project status.
  • Proactively communicate project information to team members and stakeholders.
  • Identify project issues/risks, document in Risk Register, and work with project team to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Update project tracking tools, including Parts Trackers, Action Trackers, Risk Register, PCO, and Bowling Charts.
  • Monitor project expenses and prepare budget reports.
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  • Liaise with vendors, contractors, and other external parties as needed.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and PCO change requests.
Essential Skills
  • Project management experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience leading multiple small and medium projects.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and management of hardware projects with Mechanical Engineers.
  • Manufacturing exposure and ERP/BOM knowledge.
  • Understanding of supply chain and vendor relationships.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling and tracking tools (e.g., MS Project, Smart Sheet, Excel).
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (MS Teams, Outlook, Word, OneNote, Excel, PowerPoint).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 10+ years leading cross-functional project teams.
  • Project Management Training is desirable (e.g., PMP certification or similar).
  • 1-2+ years of experience in high-volume consumer product development and production environments is desirable.
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and organizationally agile.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles, continuous improvement, and new product development process is a plus.
Work Environment This position is primarily onsite with the potential for a hybrid work arrangement once acclimated into the role. The opportunity offers the chance to join an established Project Management Organization within a billion-dollar company. It involves participation in a global initiative to transform the supplier community, specifically within the motors commodity space, and offers the potential to transition to a direct hire position after the contract period. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Sanford, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00/hr.
