Job Title: Software Engineer Join our dynamic team of engineers responsible for the world's largest fleet of smart energy storage systems and a renowned charger network. We are on the lookout for a talented, motivated, and independent engineer to join the team that develops the core applications for our energy products. Our software manages devices on customer sites, including solar panels, batteries, generators, vehicle chargers, and power meters, while maintaining communication with the cloud and providing data for customer-facing mobile apps. Develop high-quality, testable software. Debug issues in the field and devise solution paths. 3+ years of professional software development experience using application layer languages such as Golang, Java, C/C++, and Python. ~ Experience writing unit tests and practicing test-driven development. ~ Experience with software development for IoT platforms. ~ Experience developing mission-critical applications on embedded Linux. ~ Knowledge of electrical grid, AC/DC power, and power converters. ~ Strong understanding of multi-threaded programming concepts and Linux systems. ~ Experience with Golang and Rust. Familiarity with industrial protocols like DNP3, Modbus, or IEC. Work on developing software for site controllers used with battery products on industrial sites. Engage in exciting project work, initially focusing on sustaining work but also contributing to new product development. Collaborate in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment while making a tangible impact in the field of renewable energy. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palo Alto, CA.
