Project Manager
Job Title: Project Manager Job Description The Project Manager is responsible for leading and ensuring consistency in managing small to mid-sized projects, which may include Controls programming and Electrical Installation work, while coordinating closely with customers. The role involves leading project team members, removing obstacles to drive deliverables, and managing customer expectations to achieve project tasks, timelines, and business goals. Responsibilities
- Lead project teams, ensuring empowerment and authorization to manage according to organizational standards.
- Serve as the first point of customer escalation for issues on responsible projects.
- Accountable for overall project results with full profit/loss responsibility.
- Report on financial KPIs, risk/opportunity management, claims, scheduling, and EHS.
- Conduct contract reviews and derive actions concerning risks, opportunities, and obligations.
- Perform regular project status meetings and organize acceptance of work results.
- Document and report all work results according to defined standards.
- Manage customer acceptance and final project closeout requirements.
- Consult with customers, project teams, and sales team on technical solutions.
- Clarify customer targets and requirements per contract specifications.
- Perform lessons learned activities and communicate findings to project and relevant parties.
- Develop strategic billing plans for optimal cash flow.
- Negotiate change requests with stakeholders and incorporate them into contracts.
- Proactively notify customers, management, and the team of project plan changes.
- Align the team and define a vision for project success, achieving the critical criteria of Safety, Timeliness, Execution, Quality, and Profitability.
- Increase and manage client relationships to ensure successful projects and repeat business.
- Manage subcontractors and foster vendor relationships to ensure project success.
- Lead project team to maintain and manage the project schedule.
- Present monthly updates to management reviewing budget, schedule, safety, and risk.
- Project management experience in conveyors, conveyor systems, and material handling equipment.
- 3+ years of experience managing large-scale construction projects and/or conveyor industry projects with P&L responsibility.
- Proficiency in project management software such as AutoCAD, MS Project, and Primavera.
- Strong understanding of building and maintaining accurate project schedules.
- Ability to read and understand written specifications and contract drawings.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related area; relevant experience considered for education.
- Experience in e-commerce and baggage handling systems.
- Ability to travel to customer facilities and work non-business hours as needed.
